Vincent Yzerbyt is professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium where he teaches social psychology, cultural psychology and statistics. His research focusses on intergroup relations and social cognition, investigating the mechanisms at work in stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination as well as various themes related to diversity and living together in our multicultural societies. His research also addresses methodological issues in social and behavioural science research and statistics. Active in public debates, he provides training for various associations and NGOs active in the fields of sexism, racism and intercultural dialogue. His scientific publications include more than 150 articles and book chapters and numerous books and manuals. Former president of the European Association of Social Psychology, he has also been editor in various leading journals in his discipline. From 2009 to 2014, he served as Vice-Rector for Research at his university.
