Annual meeting BAPS-2018

14-11-2017
Belgian Association for Psychological Sciences

The next BAPS meeting will take place on Friday May 18th at Ghent University (Faculty of Psychology and Educational Science, Henri Dunantlaan 2, 9000 Gent). The central theme of the meeting will be “Psychological Science of Primary Mental Health Care and Early Interventions”.

We have chosen this topic because of recent changes in the landscape of mental health care in Belgium, which involve an increasing focus on early detection and early treatment of mental health problems within primary care.

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Pim Cuijpers (Free University of Amsterdam; https://research.vu.nl/en/persons/pim-cuijpers) will provide a keynote address on this topic.

In addition, two invited symposia will be devoted to the topic of primary mental health care and early interventions, one focusing on adults and one focusing on children and adolescents.

Moreover, the program will include several invited symposia on specific topics in cognitive control research, social psychology, health psychology, and developmental psychology. As such, the meeting will be of interest to a wide range of psychological scientists.
